What’s open and closed in Brockville this Canada Day

The biggest celebratory long weekend of the summer is upon us. With Canada Day approaching on Monday, July 1, here’s a look at what’s open and closed, and what local services are affected in Brockville. Retail and activities

  • Walmart will be open 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. July 1
  • Giant Tiger will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 1
  • Food Basics will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 1
  • Metro will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 1
  • Real Canadian Superstore will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 1
  • Most Shoppers Drug Mart locations will be open throughout the weekend for regular hours, but some may vary. Click here to search store hours in Brockville
  • All LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed
  • The Brockville Aquatarium will be open all weekend, including Monday, July 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The Brockville Railway Tunnel will remain open all weekend

Municipal Services 

City of Brockville administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 1 for Canada Day long weekend.

This includes:

  • City Hall (1 King St. West)
  • Gord Watts Municipal Centre (251 North Augusta Rd.)
  • Wastewater Treatment Centre (1807 County Road 2 East)
  • Water Filtration Plant (20 Rivers Ave)

City services and facilities long weekend changes:

  • Brockville Tourism – Visitor Information Centre (16 Market St. E.): Open Monday July, 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Waste and Recycling Collection: No service on Monday, July 1. Collection will be on the following day of your regular pick-up.
  • Compost Site Gord Watts Municipal Centre (251 North Augusta Road): Closed Monday, July 1
  • City Transit: No service on Monday, July 1.
  • Brockville Arts Centre (235 King St. W.): Closed July 1
  • Brockville Museum (5 Henry St.): Open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Sundays and closed Monday, July 1
