One driver is facing charges after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7 west of Road 38 caused heavy damage to both vehicles.

According to a release from the Frontenac County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers were called to the scene of the collision around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Highway 7 meets Road 38 almost halfway between Oso and Sharbot Lake in Central Frontenac Township.

“A vehicle made a left turn across the path of another vehicle resulting in the collision and heavy damage to both vehicles. There were minor injuries reported to one driver,” the OPP reported.

One driver, Isaac Castle, of Elizabethtown, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act. The OPP did not detail the charge. Kingstonist has inquired with the OPP as to the age of the accused person.

The OPP said that both vehicles were towed from the scene and the westbound lanes of Highway 7 were blocked for a short period of time.
