Two pick-up trucks stolen from Belleville construction site

The Belleville Police Service reports that two pick-up trucks were stolen in Belleville on Monday, May 6.

The first incident occurred at about midnight, when a 2020 white Chevrolet pick-up with Ontario licence plate BX72486 was taken from Hawker Construction on Highway 37, police state in a media release. It was returned to the job site at about 4 a.m. with significant damage to the tailgate, appearing to have backed into a wooden structure.

Police ask that anyone who has sustained damage to a wooden structure on their property, or observed similar damage on someone else’s property, to please contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882 or awillemsen@bellevilleps.ca

Also on May 6, at 4 a.m., a second pick-up truck was stolen from Hawker Construction. Police say it was last observed heading northbound on Highway 37. The stolen truck is a 2012 silver GMC, Ontario licence plate AY49063 with Hawker Construction decals on both sides of the truck.

“If this truck is observed, please contact the nearest police service,” police say.
