A transport driver travelling through Leeds and Grenville on Highway 401 was recently charged after causing damage to the highway’s infrastructure and disrupting traffic for several hours.

In a post to X, OPP say the truck was travelling eastbound on the 401 on the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 20. Along the way, it struck three overpasses due to being over height.

The driver was charged with careless driving, having an over height load, not having an over dimensional permit.
