St. Lawrence College, Brockville campus, will hold a multi-cultural fair, as part of its Global Learning Opportunities Week (GLOW) on Thursday, February 1, 2024, and is looking for participants from the Brockville community.

The goal of this event is to promote cultural learning and celebration through interaction with people, food, art, artifacts, traditions and more. The multi-cultural fair will help to promote local cuisine and vendors. Each cultural group will be provided with a table and chairs to set up a booth to share significant elements of the culture. This can be through art, food, clothing, artifacts, or music.

There is no fee to participate in this event.

Setup will take place between 10 and 11 a.m. on Feb. 1, and the event itself will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SLC Brockville campus.

Any food items provided must be prepared in a certified facility (e.g. local restaurants or pre-packaged foods).

Vendors may sell non-food items at their booths.

“St. Lawrence College is a vibrant and diverse community within the community of Brockville, reads a media release from the college. “We hope to connect and engage SLC students, staff, and faculty with local community members. We want to share our value of belonging with our community and appreciate the support of our community members.”

SLC emphasizes that expression of interest forms should be submitted by Tuesday, January 22, 2024.
