Porchfest Belleville, a free, family-oriented event, will take place Saturday, Sept. 23 in the East Hill neighbourhood of the city.

Presented by the Rotary Club of Belleville, Porchfest is a local celebration of music, where residents in the East Hill neighborhood perform on their front porches while the audience that moves from house to house.

Porchfest attracts dozens of performers and hundreds of spectators to this grassroots community event each year.

The event is “a great way to explore East Hill while enjoying the talents of our local musicians,” according to its website.

The website also references a Porchfest Code of Conduct, which states:

  1. Musicians play in either acoustic or “unplugged” manner
  2. Treat everyone with respect, be mindful of private property and do not litter.
  3. Please be aware of children regarding safety, language, smoking, and alcohol.
  4. No smoking in front of venues.
  5. Have fun
