OPP investigating bullet shot through window at Quinte West residence

In a startling incident, the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has launched an investigation following the discovery of a bullet hole in a residence window. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, Nov. 4.

In a news release, police say that approximately 7 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a complaint about a broken window at a residence situated on Dixon Drive, Quinte West. The damage was suspected to have taken place around 3 a.m. Upon further examination, investigators recovered a bullet.

Authorities are now urging the community for assistance in solving this alarming case. They are particularly interested in obtaining video surveillance or vehicle dash cam footage captured in the vicinity of Dixon Drive between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4. Any recordings showing vehicles or pedestrians during this time frame are of significant interest to the investigation. Individuals possessing relevant footage are encouraged to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 to aid in their efforts to identify potential suspects.
