Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has charged Gas and Country Restaurant in Coe Hill with four separate charges, including:
- Fail to ensure completion of food handler training by food handler or supervisor
- Food premise maintained in manner adversely affecting sanitary operation
- Fail to protect against harbouring of pests
- Fail to provide handwashing stations with adequate supplies
The results of the charges are pending, and Quinteist will provide updates as they become available.
Other recent charges include Smoker’s World and Riverside Convenience in Trenton, which were both charged with selling a vapour product to a person who is less than 19 years old. The Stinky Canuck in Picton faces the same charge.
