A man was recently with charged mischief after reportedly throwing a rock through the window of a Belleville store, then patiently waiting for police to come arrest him.
Belleville police report that on Jan. 30, at approximately 1:35 p.m., a 37-year-old man of no fixed address was apprehended after allegedly throwing a rock through the window of a business on Dundas Street East.
Police say that the individual then remained at the scene, awaiting the arrival of law enforcement.
Upon police arrival, the man was arrested without incident.
He was charged with mischief under $5,000 and faces three counts of breaching probation.
Police did not identify the man or the targeted store.
The accused is currently detained, pending a bail hearing.
