The closure of the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge that was originally supposed to take place over the night of Oct. 16 – 17 has now been re-scheduled for the night of Oct. 17 – 18.

A full mainline night closure will take place between Tuesday, Oct. 17, beginning at 9 p.m., and ending at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

This closure is intended for the jacking of the bridge to install permanent bearings.

The delay was caused by “unforeseen equipment issues,” according to the Municipality of Prince Edward County.

No traffic will be permitted to pass over the bridge during the above closure.
