Quinte West resident accused of theft from Trenton business

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a local resident following an alleged theft in Trenton.

On Sept. 27, at approximately 10 a.m., Quinte West OPP officers responded to a business on Dundas Street East, Trenton for a report of a theft.

Police say the suspect left the area prior to the officers’ arrival and an investigation was initiated. On Oct. 10, a person was arrested.

Tishshaniya Cross, 47 years old, from Quinte West has been charged with theft under $5,000.

This charge has not been proven in court.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
