Quinte West OPP seeking info into Trenton residential fire that caused ‘extensive damage’

Police in Quinte West are seeking the public’s assistance in connection with an investigation into a residential fire.

In an April 5 media release, police state that on March 31, 2024, at approximately 10 p.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a structure fire at 40 Dufferin Avenue, Trenton.

The fire, which caused extensive damage to the garage and detached residence, was extinguished by Quinte West Fire. OPP say there were no occupants in the building at that time.

The Quinte West Crime Unit is investigating and is requesting any doorbell camera or dashcam video from March 31, 2024, between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the area of 40 Dufferin Avenue. Video can be uploaded via the following link https://bit.ly/4ajVoNl
