Prince Edward County has announced a public meeting concerning the Sterling Homes development proposal at 380 Wellington Main Street. Set for Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m., the meeting will be held at the Wellington and District Community Centre.

The proposal, identified as File Number Z3-23, seeks a Zoning By-law Amendment for land located south of the Millennium Trail, west of Cleminson Street, and north of Wellington Main Street.

If approved, the plan would introduce about 253 dwelling units, including various types of town homes and single-detached homes. Access would be available from two points: one on Wellington Main Street and another on Cleminson Street.

Those interested in attending are asked to register in advance by contacting Matthew Coffey, Planning Approvals Coordinator, at mcoffey@pecounty.on.ca before noon on Nov. 29. Materials related to the application can be accessed on The County’s website.

The meeting aims to share information only, as part of the revised planning application process established in 2021. Attendees will hear the proposal presentation and can ask questions or share comments afterward.

Following this information session, a formal statutory public meeting required by the Planning Act will be scheduled by the Planning Committee. This meeting will occur after the County planner completes their analysis of the project.
