A reconstruction project will see the closure of a portion of Belleville’s Murney Street from now until late summer, the city reports in a media release.

Cobourg Development Services Ltd. will begin Phase 2 of the Murney Street and Henry Street reconstruction project this week.

“Work includes the replacement of the existing storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, concrete curb and sidewalk on Murney Street (south end) from Henry Street to Catharine Street, and asphalt paving throughout the full project limits,” a media release states.

Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, and the roadway is expected to be closed for the duration of the project.
