Police investigating after suspicious older man approaches young girls in Carleton Place

Lanark OPP are investigation an incident reportedly involving an older man approaching two young girls in Carleton Place.

In a media release, police explain that the girls were walking in the area of Morris and Boyd Streets around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, when they were approached by a male in a vehicle.

“He tried to engage the girls in conversation, but they quickly went to a friend’s home nearby,” the release states.

The car is described as a small, white hatchback. The male was described only as an older, bald man who was wearing a black face mask.
