The Town of Perth has unveiled Engage Perth, an online platform designed to encourage civic engagement and enhance communication between residents and local government.

Powered by the Social Pinpoint software, the town explains in a media release that Engage Perth offers a user-friendly interface where residents can access information about municipal projects and provide valuable feedback.

This platform provides real-time updates on ongoing initiatives, allowing residents to stay informed and engaged. It also features easy-to-use feedback tools, enabling community members to express their opinions and suggestions directly to town officials. Engage Perth aims to foster transparent communication and accountability by providing clear access to the outcomes of public consultations and the next steps for projects.

“Getting community feedback is such an important part of ensuring we stay connected to our residents and make genuine efforts to ensure each individual has the opportunity to feel heard,” stated Cathy McNally, Director of Community Services, in the media release. “Our hope – and ultimate goal – is that Engage Perth will do just that.”

One of the projects currently open for community participation on Engage Perth is the Active Transportation Plan. Residents can access survey highlights, documents, and key dates related to the plan, with draft maps soon to be posted for feedback on proposed pathways.

The launch of Engage Perth aligns with the Town’s broader strategy to enhance communication and civic engagement. Residents are encouraged to visit engage.perth.ca to explore the platform and register to follow ongoing and upcoming projects.
