No charges laid yet after Belleville man shot in forehead with BB gun

The Belleville Police Service is investigating an incident that led to a local man being shot with a BB gun.

Police and paramedics responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex in the city’s east end on Wednesday, March 27, around 6:10 p.m.

The call reported a person had been shot with a BB gun, police explain in a media release.

Upon arrival, authorities found a 43-year-old Belleville man with a minor injury to his forehead from a BB gun shot. The man was promptly transported to Belleville General Hospital by EMS.

Police say their investigation revealed that the adult male had engaged in a disturbance with a group of youths, resulting in the BB gun incident. Officers managed to locate and confiscate the BB gun.
