The City of Brockville announced on Monday, May 6 that repair work has begun on concrete curbs and sidewalks at various locations.

“Areas selected for curb work will correct drainage issues on roads that will soon be paved,” a media release explains. The sidewalks selected were those identified as being “in extremely poor condition and in need of replacement.”

The work will be completed by LA Knapp Construction, and overseen by the City’s engineering division.

Curb and sidewalk work is currently underway at Brockmount Place, with upcoming work locations to include:

  • Beley Street from Dana Street to Row Place
  • Kensington Parkway from Laurier Avenue to Peden Boulevard
  • Aldershot Avenue at Central Avenue
  • Park Street from Front Avenue West to the bridge.

“We will work to keep traffic disruption to a minimum as this work progresses, however some disruption and minor inconveniences may occur,” the release says.  Please check Municipal 511 for any active detours or traffic notices.

The work is expected to continue until May 31.
