Man charged after reportedly flipping over vending machine at Belleville business

Belleville police report that officers responded to a call on Monday, Feb. 5 at approximately 9:15 p.m. regarding an incident at a business located on North Front Street.

According to reports, two males were observed engaging in disruptive behaviour inside the establishment. Witnesses reported that the individuals were attempting to vandalize a vending machine, and when their efforts proved unsuccessful, they resorted to flipping the machine over, causing damage.

Upon arrival, officers located one of the suspects still present at the scene. The individual was identified as Brian Orford, age 44, with no fixed address. Orford was arrested and charged with mischief. Following the arrest, he was released on an undertaking, with a scheduled court appearance set for March.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities actively working to identify and locate the second suspect involved in the incident.
