Leeds OPP charge transport driver accused of hauling stolen vehicles

The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges after retrieving of two stolen vehicles.

OPP report in a media release that on March 12, shortly after 8 a.m., Leeds County OPP officers were called in to assist Ministry of Transportation (MTO) officers in inspecting a transport truck carrying a sea container.

A 49-year-old man from the Greater Toronto Area has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Police did not name the accused.

The accused attended a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville earlier today and has been detained in custody.
