The Town of Perth has announced it’s launching a new video series called “Embrace the Move.”

The videos are aimed at showcasing local residents and business owners while highlighting Perth as an ideal destination for families and businesses alike, the town explains in a media release.

Featuring two main videos with distinct focuses, the series aims to appeal to different audiences. One video emphasizes Perth’s community, amenities, and high quality of life for young families and couples, while the other targets small to medium-sized businesses by showcasing the supportive business environment and growth opportunities in the area.

Cathy McNally, Director of Community Services, underscores the feedback received from newcomers, which consistently highlights Perth’s welcoming atmosphere and family-friendly environment.

“Whenever we meet a young family or business owner who moved to Perth from an urban area, we often hear the same kind of feedback: that our residents are always welcoming, there is so much for kids to do, and that it’s a gorgeous place to live,” says McNally.

In addition to the main videos, the town has produced a series of engaging 30-second shorts, each focusing on a different theme, which will be used for online advertising across various platforms to capture the audience’s attention.

McNally stresses the importance of authenticity in economic development marketing efforts.

“We want to bring authentic voices to our marketing efforts when it comes to economic development,” she says. “This initiative is another step of the Town’s efforts to showcase our rural community to a wider audience, while also examining how our municipality can best prepare for and support new residents and businesses coming to Perth.”

All videos are hosted on the town’s official YouTube channel and will be released to the public over the next several weeks. The town encourages everyone to view the videos and join in spreading the word.
