The Corporation of the Town of Carleton Place has announced the receipt of a $76,900 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. This funding will be used to rehabilitate the gymnasium floor at the Carambeck Community Centre.

The Carambeck gymnasium is a popular space for residents of all ages and abilities, hosting a variety of social and physical activities such as baby play groups, youth gym sessions, children’s classes, and adult/senior sports. The existing tile flooring will be replaced with high-performance sport flooring, allowing more organizations to access recreation programs and creating additional opportunities for safe play.

Work on the gymnasium floor is set to begin during the Christmas break this year to minimize disruptions for users. Following the completion of the renovation, a community event will be organized in the new year to showcase the upgraded facility. More information will be shared as plans unfold, keeping the community informed about the improvements happening at the Carambeck Community Centre.
