Wednesday, June 26 was a busy day for Lanark OPP.

The detachment says in a media release that officers responded to a total of 10 collisions on Wednesday.

Three of these collisions involved vehicles and deer, police say.

“Others ranged from parking lot fender-benders to a single vehicle rollover and a motorcycle rider falling from their bike after hitting sand or gravel on the roadway.”

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported in any of these incidents, says the media release.

Officers also responded to a three-vehicle collision in a drive-thru lane on Gore Street in Perth. “One car in the lane accelerated in reverse causing a crash,” the release states, causing two vehicles to sustain enough damage that they had to be towed from the scene. The third was able to be driven away. Police say the investigation into this incident is ongoing.

“As we approach the long weekend, please slow down and watch for deer and other vehicles,” police say. “Follow the posted speed limits and keep your eyes on the road ahead, including areas beside the road.”
