Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an attempted break-in at a Carleton Place business, allegedly by a suspect who made a strange wardrobe choice.

In a media release, OPP say officers responded just before 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, when it was reported that someone was attempting to break into a business on Hooper Street.

The individual had fled before officers arrived, police say. An OPP Canine Unit was called in but was unable to track down the culprit.

The only description of the male was that he appeared to be wearing a garbage bag over his clothes.
