‘Erratic’ driving leads to license suspension for Belleville woman

The Belleville Police Service report that a local woman had her license suspended and vehicle towed after an incident of ‘erratic’ driving.

In a media release, police say that on June 20, at about 2 a.m., officers observed a vehicle on North Front Street that was driving in a manner they found suspicious.

Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, and observed that she was exhibiting signs of impairment. Police continued the investigation by means of a Standard Field Sobriety Test.

At the conclusion of the investigation, a 53-year-old female from Belleville had her driver’s licence suspended for three days and her vehicle was towed.

Quinteist reached out to Belleville police to determine if any impaired driving charges were laid. Staff Sergeant Jeff Geen confirmed that they were not.
