Drivers caught travelling at extreme speeds in Portland, Lansdowne

Leeds OPP report over X (formerly Twitter) that they charged two drivers caught travelling at extreme speeds on local roads on the night of Tuesday, Dec. 12.

A 19-year-old from Ottawa was reportedly travelling at 119 km/h in a 60 zone through the village of Portland in Rideau Lakes Township. Three teenage passengers were also in the car.

In addition, a 50-year-old driver from Toronto was caught doing 184 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the 401 near Lansdowne.

Both drivers had their vehicles impounded.
