A 33-year-old woman from Belleville is set to appear in court following an incident where police responded to a local workplace due to a report of an intoxicated female.

Police say in a media release they were called around noon to an address in the west end of the city to check on the woman, who had been sent home from work because of her intoxication. Earlier in the day, colleagues had driven her home using her own vehicle.

Upon police arrival at the woman’s residence, they cautioned her against driving as they could still detect alcohol on her breath. Despite this advice, officers were summoned back to the woman’s workplace at approximately 3:30 p.m. after she had driven back to work. As a result, she was arrested by the attending officers.

Danielle Wilson, 33, of Belleville, was charged with impaired driving and driving while over .80mgs (having more than the legal limit of alcohol in her blood). Charges have not been proven in court. She was released from custody pending a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 4.
