Belleville resident facing drug charge following PEC traffic stop

OPP in Prince Edward County charged a Belleville resident after he was allegedly found in possession of meth.

On Sept. 15, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 1.

During the investigation, a search of the vehicle and driver was completed, which police say led to the seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

Ryan O’Neil, age 37, from Belleville, was charged with possession of a schedule one substance – methamphetamine.

This charge has not been proven in court.

They were released from custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 1, 2023.
