Belleville police investigating bank robbery

Belleville police are investigating an armed robbery of the Alterna Credit Union on Sidney Street, which took place on Saturday, March 16 at about 1 p.m.

Police say no injuries were reported.

The matter is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Belleville Police Service with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit. The location has been closed for a period of time Saturday as members of the FIS team processed the scene.
