Belleville police, community members raise $25,000 for Special Olympics with polar plunge

The polar plunge took place on Friday, March 1.

The Belleville Police Service is extending gratitude to the community, volunteers, and fellow emergency services for their support during Friday afternoon’s polar plunge fundraiser, which proved to be a resounding success. Participants gathered at the Herchimer boat launch to brave the icy waters of the Bay of Quinte, all in the name of raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics.

Thanks to the collective effort of the community, $25,000 was raised in support of Special Olympics.

In a media release, the Belleville Police Service extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this fundraiser, emphasizing the profound difference made in the lives of Special Olympics athletes through their contributions.
