Almonte ATM thieves make off with thousands of dollars in cash: OPP

Lanark OPP are investigating a break-in and theft at an ATM in Almonte.

In a media release, police say they were alerted on March 10, 2024, after discovering damage to an ATM located on Ottawa Street. According to preliminary findings, it is suspected the suspects tampered with the machine at 3:30 a.m. on the same day, managing to make off with thousands of dollars in cash.

The investigation remains ongoing, with support from the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit.

Anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity in the vicinity during the early hours of Sunday morning or with information are urged to reach out to the Lanark OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
